What it does

One job: don't let the brew be forgotten.

Long steeps get watched. Cold brew is a 12–24 hour timer that refuses to be forgotten — a lock-screen Live Activity, a heads-up an hour out, and a done alert that repeats every ten minutes until you say you pulled it.
Every method, its own shape. French press, AeroPress and tea are plain countdowns; pour over is a guided, pour-by-pour timer. Two can run at once — overnight cold brew while this morning's press steeps.
It learns your cup. Rate each brew weak, just right, or bitter. After a few, it notices which steep length you actually like and offers to make that your default.

Phone & wrist

Standalone on the watch, kept on the phone.

The Apple Watch app runs short brews end to end on the wrist — start, a time-sensitive done alert, confirm, logged — with the phone off or absent. Cold brew stays on the phone, where a half-day timer belongs.

Finished brews sync phone ↔ watch over your own private iCloud — never a running timer, only the ones you've pulled. The phone keeps the whole journal; the watch keeps a couple of months. No account, no analytics, and nowhere else for any of it to go.
