This is the privacy policy for TidyGlance, the glanceable menu-bar calendar. It’s written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me.
The one-sentence version: TidyGlance runs entirely on your Mac, collects nothing, reads none of your calendars, and sends nothing anywhere.
What It Collects
Nothing. TidyGlance has no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no server. It makes no network connections of its own.
What It Reads
Nothing of yours. TidyGlance draws a month grid from the calendar math built into macOS — it does not use EventKit, does not read your Calendar app, and has no idea what your events are. It shows the date; it doesn’t know your plans.
What It Stores
Only your display preferences — your menu-bar date format, which day the week starts on, and whether to show week numbers — in your Mac’s standard app preferences, on your Mac.
Permissions
TidyGlance asks for no system permissions at all. No calendar access, no network, nothing. It just draws a grid.
What It Never Does
- Never collects, stores, or transmits any personal data.
- Never reads your calendars or events.
- Never uses analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.
- Never talks to a server — there isn’t one.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since TidyGlance collects nothing and sends nothing, there isn’t much here that can change — but if it does, it’ll be stated plainly.
